Meet guidelines
Levels 3, 4, 5, & 6 are considered Compulsory team, Level 7 (formerly JD), 8, 9, & 10 constitute the Optional team. Compulsory and Optional teams travel to local and out of state competitions. All meet fees are paid by the athlete's family, which include entry fee, session fee for coach, plus a portion of the coaches' travel expenses.
All fees must be up to date (Tuition and meet fees) for your Gymnast to compete.
Gymnasts should arrive at Meets 15 minutes prior to ‘warm-up’ time or at the designated ‘check-in’ time that will be included in most of the meet information.
Arrive at the Meet wearing tank, red competition shorts, a gymnastics t-shirt, red competition pants, and RED socks (sneakers or flip flops for the competition floor).
Gym Bags should be brought to all Meets and contain the following: Long Competition Pants, extra pair of RED socks, grips, a water bottle (please be sure the top is secure to prevent leaks – NO JUICE), a nutritious snack (crackers, fruit, raisins, energy bar).
Parents are not allowed on the competition floor and should never approach a judge regarding scoring. Questions about your child’s performance at the meet should only be directed toward the coaches of your child and should take place at the conclusion of awards.
Gymnasts are to remain with their coach at all times. USA Gymnastics does not allow athletes to go to the stands before the conclusion of awards.
Please be aware that flashed scores are not official scores. Check with the coach at the end of the awards if you have a question about a flashed score.
**Out of respect for other teams, all gymnasts MUST stay until the last award is given.
